Junior is the main character of the novel and he had “all sorts of physical problems” which were the result of his brain damage. Junior's appearance is very peculiar: first, he ended up having 42 teeth (ten more usual). His mouth was full of teeth and he could barely close it until he went to the dentist in order to extract them. Due to his brain damage, he had to deal with a nearsighted in one eye and a farsighted in the other because his eyes were lopsided; as a result, he had to wear glasses which made him look like a “retard”. His skull was enormous and the rest of the kids of the rez tent to bully him and beat him up at least once a month.
It is true that Junior’s health was not great since he had seizures due to his brain damage that he was born with, but on the other hand, Rowdy, his best friend, was a healthy guy. In spite of his health was not the best, Junior had strengths that make him stand up from the rest of the characters: he was intelligent also he was a capable person who had dreams and hopes that we can appreciate in the novel when he decided to leave the rez and have a better life even though it wasn’t easy at the beginning. Junior as everybody had some characteristics that we can consider as weakness: unfortunately, his main physical weakness was his brain damage (hydrocephalic) which made him look “weird” he was not able to fight back when the other kids bullied him due to this and his physical appearance didn’t help him because he was too slim . Junior was also tent to visualize himself as a weak person. He used to think himself as a weak person until his math teacher (m.r P) helped him to realized that he was strong enough to make his dreams come true. Until that moment, Junior started believing himself.

It is sad the fact of Arnold suffered a lot because of the people who supposed should've supported him.
Also the fact that at the beginning he visualize himself as a week person as you said, but he could discover all the talents he had and finally met people who help him to improve himself to recognize that no matter your appearance, you are capable of whatever.

I think that, like Arnold, we as humans find it difficult to see the good things that characterize us or differentiate us from others and we only focus on the bad things we have, but a little help from others can change everything around us since they help us to see the little things that make us unique.

Very good afternoon, I just wanted to tell you that the aspects that you have taken into account to describe this character seemed very important to me, I think that if it is very unfortunate how is it that the same character sees himself as weak or vulnerable but despite everything, he did not stay thinking the same thing forever and that is the good thing, because he could improve until he was better than before.
